☀️July, Fun in the Sun; 🚗The Great American Summer Road Trip

Hey Crafty Friends,

There's something bittersweet about the last stretch of a summer road trip.

The maps are a little more worn, the souvenirs have started piling up, and every stop along the way has become part of the story. Before long, we'll be turning the calendar to August, but before we do, I wanted us to savor one last adventure together.

This week marks the final chapter of our Great American Summer series, and our destination is the open road itself. Think vintage highways, quirky roadside attractions, weathered postcards, faded travel journals, and all the little moments that make a road trip unforgettable.

One of my favorite things about themed journaling is that it lets us travel without ever leaving our craft table. A handful of papers, a few embellishments, and a little imagination can transport us anywhere we want to go. That's the kind of creativity I hope you'll carry with you long after summer ends, not just into your journals, but into everyday life.

So grab your favorite drink, settle in, and let's make one more stop before this July season comes to a close. I can't wait to see where your imagination takes you.

🌼 This Month's Craft Along

Our July Craft Along printable and digital downloads are available now in the Members Area! Everything for the entire month is included in the download and is yours to enjoy for personal use.

I also occasionally drop surprise goodies into my newsletters and the Members Area; things I'm working on, social media freebies, bonus printables, and other little creative treasures, so be sure to check back often. You never know what might appear!

Until Next Time...

I hope this week gives you a few moments to slow down and savor the season. Creativity isn't just about making beautiful things, sometimes it's about creating beautiful moments.

So pull up a chair, pour yourself something cold to drink, and spend a little time simply enjoying the summer.

🚗✨ Two Little Extras for the July Journey

No great road trip is complete without a couple of unexpected discoveries, so I tucked two little surprises into this month's collection to make your creative adventure even more fun!

🚙 Great American Summer Road Trip Bingo

Whether you're traveling across the country or just taking the scenic route to the grocery store, I thought it would be fun to bring a little extra adventure along for the ride.

Print out the Great American Summer Road Trip Bingo card and see how many classic roadside sights you can spot along the way; everything from vintage motel signs and water towers to trains, covered bridges, and beautiful sunsets.

Slip it into your glove box, hand one to the kids (or your favorite travel companion!), and see who gets Bingo first. And if you're staying close to home this summer, it makes a fun excuse for a weekend drive with no destination in mind just the joy of noticing the little things along the way.

After all, the best memories aren't always found at the destination... they're collected one mile at a time.

🎵 The Starlight Motel Lobby Radio

Every memorable road trip has a soundtrack.

Imagine pulling into the Starlight Motel just as the sun dips below the horizon. The neon sign flickers to life, the coffee is hot, and an old radio in the lobby is filling the evening air with songs that make you want to roll the windows down and keep driving.

I've created The Starlight Motel Lobby Radio playlist on Spotify; a collection of classic road trip favorites and nostalgic tunes inspired by vintage highways, roadside diners, desert sunsets, and America's golden age of travel. Scan the QR code and let it be the soundtrack while you journal, create, or head out on your own summer adventure.

✨ Inside My Journal This Week: Passport to Possibilities

This week my art studio table has looked more like a vintage travel bureau than a journal studio! I've been getting ready for next week's South Kansas City Junk Journal Society meetup, where our July theme is Passport of Possibilities. Everyone is creating tiny passport pages to trade, inspired by places we'd love to visit; whether they're real destinations, dream vacations, or entirely imaginary worlds.

Of course... I couldn't resist taking my passport somewhere a little unexpected.

Instead of traveling across the globe, my passport travels through time. Each page is a passport to meet an extraordinary woman from French history. Imagine sharing tea and cakes with Marie Antoinette at Versailles before history took its tragic turn, strolling the gardens with Empress Joséphine, or stepping into another century to meet remarkable women whose stories continue to inspire us today.

That's one of the things I love most about journaling. We aren't limited by maps or calendars. With a little paper, a bit of imagination, and a handful of ephemera, we can travel anywhere; even to places and moments that only exist in our dreams.

I'd love to know... if you could stamp your own Passport of Possibilities, where—or when—would you go?

Print What You Want, When You Want It

Have you ever sat down with a precious hour to create, only to realize you're missing the one thing you need to finish your page?

Maybe it's the perfect sticker. Maybe it's a vintage label. Maybe it's a pocket, tag, or piece of ephemera that would tie everything together.

So you stop creating and start searching.

You dig through drawers. You browse online shops. You add things to your cart. You wait for shipping. And somewhere along the way, the creative spark that brought you to your craft table starts to fade.

That's exactly why I created StashGenie.

Instead of buying more supplies you'll eventually store away and forget, StashGenie helps you create exactly what you need in the moment.

Need a sheet of strawberry-themed labels? Done.

Vintage Paris ephemera? Done.

A set of hot air balloons for your Sisterhood Shuffle page? Done.

Because your creativity shouldn't have to wait for the mail.

Create Supplies as Unique as Your Projects

One of the things I love most about StashGenie is that no two creators work the same way and no two journals should look the same.

When you create with StashGenie, you're not choosing from the same clip art packs everyone else is using. You're creating pieces designed specifically for your project, your style, and your imagination.

Want cottagecore mushrooms? Victorian butterflies? Steampunk ladies? Vintage recipe cards? Coffee-loving Strawberry Shortcake stickers?

Create them. Print them. Use them.

Your Printer Is Your New Favorite Craft Supply

Think about how much money we spend collecting supplies "just in case" we need them someday.

With StashGenie, you can create and print what you need when inspiration strikes. No waiting. No hunting. No buying another pack because it contains one image you like.

Just open StashGenie, describe what you're looking for, and print your creations right from home.

Less searching. More creating. More finishing projects. More joy.

Because the best craft supply isn't the one collecting dust on a shelf—it's the one that helps you create something beautiful today.
